Tion J. Augustine Sr.

Tion J. Augustine Sr., 69, of Gravette passed away Oct. 21, 2013, in his home. He was born Jan. 10, 1944, in Little Rock, Ark., the son of Franklin and Lucy Hassen Augustine. Tion owned and operated a home improvement business. Survived by his wife, LaVonda Augustine of the home; children, Tion J. Augustine Jr. and wife, Emily, of West Fork, Maska Augustine of Gravette, Tyla Latham and husband, Chris, of Rogers, and LaTonya Lakin and husband, Joseph, of Gravette; two sisters, Lawanda McGinty of Walnut Ridge and Mary Ann of Pocahontas; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, with Brian Bowerman officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
