John Lawrence Hummelgaard

John Lawrence Hummelgaard, 84, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Oct. 19, 2013, in Rogers. He was born Oct. 25, 1928, in Tonganoxie, Kan., the son of Lawrence Hanson and Mary Magdeline Bender Hummelgaard. He was a maintenance foreman for the Board of Public Utilities. John served in the United States Air Force. Preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Mae Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Church Hummelgaard of the home, they were married Sept. 24, 1949, in Camden, Mo.; daughters, Vicki Lynn Bowman, Cherry Ann Mastro, Donna Jean Kolojaco and Kathy Louise Gaul; three brothers, Larry Dean Hummelgaard, Richard Edward Hummelgaard and Dale Eugene Hummelgaard; two sisters, Margaret Marie (Peg) Worf and Shirley Susan Schuler; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers. There will also be a visitation Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie, Kan.
