Stella Ruby Orten

Stella Ruby Orten, 88, of Gravette, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at Ozark Community Hospital in Gravette, Ark. She was born on Nov. 28, 1924, in Cleo Springs, Okla., to Joseph E. Alexander and Esther Marie Lennen Alexander. She moved to Gravette in 1969 from Colorado. She was a certified nursing assistant working at Gravette Medical Center, later Gravette Manor, and Bentonville Manor, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist in Sulphur Springs. She loved to be with her grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and seven brothers. She is survived by one son, Lonnie Orten and wife, Barbara, of Gravette, Ark.; two brothers, Billy Gene Alexander and wife, Jennie, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., Wendall Alexander and wife, Willa, of Gravette, Ark.; five sisters, Bonnie Schaffer and husband, Bill, of Gravette, Ark., Xollie Buffer and husband, Delbert, of Gravette, Ark., Ellen Neil of Bartlesville, Okla., Edna Schaffer of Clinton, Okla., Betty Wilkins and husband, Bud, of Decatur, Ark.; two grandchildren, Tami Parker and husband, Eric, Christi Clayton and husband, Craig; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. A committal service of her urn will be on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette.
