Wilma Bernice Timmons

Wilma Bernice Timmons, age 69, of Springdale went to her final resting place with her Heavenly Father on Oct. 12, 2013, in Springdale, after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 7, 1944, in Camden, Ark., the daughter of William and Lois Vick Rutherford. She had worked in child care and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, gardening and taking care of others. She is preceded by her husband, Earl Ray Timmons Sr.; one son, Earl Ray Timmons Jr.; her mother, Lois Harris; her father, William Rutherford; a brother, Tommy Rutherford; and a granddaughter, Shianne Lane. Those left to cherish her memory are her six children, Doug Timmons and wife, Delita, of Springdale, Ark., Matthew Timmons and wife, Kimberly, of Batesville, Ark., Jim Timmons of Batesville, Ark., Crystal Harris and husband, Chip, of Mandeville, La., Carol Gamble and partner, Ellen Clark, of Westville, Okla., and Corey Bayes and husband, Allen, of Cave City, Ark.; one brother, Gary Rutherford of Texarkana, Ark.; one sister, Gloria Tutt and husband, Dave, of Baton Rouge, La.; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special lifelong friend, Nora Taylor and her husband, Dan, of Springdale, Ark. Graveside services will be Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Fayetteville National Cemetery, where she will be buried with her husband, with Pastor Kevin Fitzgerald officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
