Zachary Lowell Roddy

Zachary Lowell Roddy, 27, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Burkburnett with Lane Davis, officiating. Interment will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Cemetery in Vernon, Texas, under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Zachary was born Sept. 9, 1986, in Vernon, Texas, to Gary and Angela (Morris) Roddy. He graduated from Burkburnett High School in 2005 and later from Oklahoma State University in 2009. He was a music director at Tulsa School of Arts & Science, and was currently employed at Bentonville High School in Bentonville, Ark., as a band director. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Angela Roddy of Burkburnett; a brother, Nathan Roddy and wife, Airicca, of Lincoln, Neb.; paternal grandmother, Pollye Roddy; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Earlene Morris, all of Vernon; his aunt and uncle, Monica and David Morris of Hurst; and seven cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
