Juli Mackey Brown

Juli Mackey Brown, 42, of St. Cloud, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013. She was born in Kansas City, Mo., grew up in Springdale, Ark., and moved to Florida to attend graduate school at Florida State University. She was an Elmdale Eagle, a Springdale Bulldog, an Arkansas Razorback and an FSU Seminole. Juli was a speech therapist for the Orange County School system and a member of Eastern Avenue Baptist Church in St. Cloud. Juli is survived by her loving husband, Douglas E. Brown, son, Jonathan B. Brown, and daughter, Lacey R. Brown, all of St. Cloud, Fla.; mother and stepfather, Judith and Marvin Higginbottom, grandmother, Harriet Whiting, all of Holiday Island, Ark.; father, Jack Mackey of St., Cloud; one sister, Marjay Hignite and her husband, Mike, of Springdale, Ark.; four brothers, John Mackey and wife, Leslie, of Bentonville, Ark., Jim Higginbottom and wife, Amy, of Bentonville, Joe Higginbottom and wife, Twila of Centerton, Ark., and Marve Higginbottom of Fayetteville, Ark; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful family and friends. The Arkansas memorial service to celebrate the life of Juli Mackey Brown will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 S. Gutensohn, in Springdale, with Pastor Paul Woodhouse officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Avenue Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 701209, St. Cloud, FL 34770, in memory of Juli Mackey Brown.
