Al Fay Cross

Al Fay Cross, age 78, of Springdale, Ark., passed away on Oct. 9, 2013, at the Earlene Howard Hospice Home in Springdale, Ark. Al was born on June 24, 1935, in Marble, Ark., a son of the late John W. and Cleo (Parker) Cross. He retired from the U.S. Army, was a member of the VFW in Springdale and enjoyed watching FOX News. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Lucy (Repolusk) Cross; and a daughter, Cory Mae Cross. Al is survived by three children, Andy Cross and wife, Debbie, of Avoca, Ark., Grace Burgess and husband, Ronnie, of Huntsville, Ark., and Sheldon Cross of Springdale, Ark.; five grandchildren, Eric Cross, Michael Cross, Matthew Cross, Kandice Samuels and Justin Burgess; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at the Lower Camp Ground near Kingston, Ark.
