William Travis Moore

William Travis Moore, 67, of Springdale, passed from this life to his eternal reward on Oct. 2, 2013. He was born July 11, 1946, in Kingston, Ark., to William Reuel and Dortha M. Moore. Travis worked as a saw-miller and a volunteer fireman. He was an avid fisherman and chef. He will always be remembered for his famous Friday night feasts. Travis adored his family and cherished their time together. Travis is predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Jimmie Moore and Tommy Moore. Travis is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Barkley Moore. They were married on July 12, 1963. Travis is lovingly remembered by his son, Wayne Travis Moore and his wife, Renne of Springdale; siblings, Onetta Clark, Edward Moore, Gayle Froud, Bobby Moore and Jackie Moore; two grandchildren, April Edmondson and Billy Lindsey; three great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Riley Edmondson and Britt Lindsey; and a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Westfield Chapel with Pastor Clark Snow officiating.
