Berniece Irene Emerson

Berniece Irene Emerson, 82, of Springdale passed away Nov. 26, 2013, at her home. She was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Searcy County, Ark., to Gerald and Elta Ennis Freeman. Berniece was a hotel clerk. She was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale. She enjoyed cooking and playing games with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alton Emerson; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Graham and husband, Charles S., of Springdale; one brother, Paul Freeman of Springdale; one sister, Alma Collins of Springdale; and one grandchild, Blaine Graham. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
