Lillian Eleanor Glasgow

Lillian Eleanor Glasgow, age 93 of Farmington, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at home. She was born April 9, 1920, in Chicago to Arthur Wolf and Dorothy Berger Wolf. She married John (Jack) Minsker Jr. in 1941 who preceded her in death in 1959. She moved to Missouri and married Wayne F Glasgow in 1962 who preceded her in death in 1998. Also preceding her in death are her parents; a brother, Buddy Wolf; sister, June Wolf and son-in-law, Jack Cathcart. Survivors include daughters Linda Racey of Farmington, Ark., and Marilyn (Leland) Tippett of Wright, Minn., and stepdaughter, Judy (John) Boland of Memphis, Mo.; grandchildren include Jeff Racey of Farmington, Jim (Felicia) Racey of North Little Rock, Ark., Suzanne (Dave) Taplin of Bovey, Minn., Mike (Karen) Tippett of Farmington, Minn., Sara Davidson of Clochet, Minn.; stepgrandchildren, John (Chere) Litzenberger Jr. of Pearl River, La., and Karen Salisbury of Slidell, La.; Abbie Ross of Mayflower, Ark., Mary (Mark) Earnhart of Mayflower, Ark., and Steven Cathcart of Mayflower, Ark.; great-grandchildren include Axl, Paul and Austin Racey, Hannah, Joshua, Elizabeth and Katelynn Taplin, Zack Tippett, Phillip, Greg and Rachael Tippett; stepgrandchildren, Jesse Salisbury, Courtney Litzenburger, Aaron (Michelle) Deitz, Jessica Deitz, Joshua (Kaitlin) Smith, Delanie (Steve) York, Kaylee and Benjamin Cathcart; great-grandchildren include Jaxson and Myla Deitz and Nolan York. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Lillian graduated from High School in Chicago, Ill., and completed one year of nursing school. Upon her marriage to Jack, she moved to Munster, Ind., and was involved with her daughters school activities, was a Girl Scout leader, a seamstress, bridge club member and assisted in her husband's business. After moving to Missouri in 1959, she was employed by the Federal Land bank and retired in 1978. She and husband Wayne loved gardening, canning, traveling and camping. They were founders of Wildlife Ridge Campground in Granger, Mo. Lillian accepted Jesus as her Savior and was baptized in at the age of 81. She was a member of Faith Covenant Church in Prairie Grove, Ark. She loved spending time with family and friends. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Faith Covenant Church in Prairie Grove, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Covenant Church, P.O.
