Doris Jean Karlin

Doris Jean Karlin, 61, of Bentonville passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers after a long battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 7, 1952, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Haskell Gabbard and Lela Massie-Gabbard. She was raised in the Crosses Community in Madison County. At the age of 14, she accepted Christ. She worked for Tyson Food's for 32 years, making many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Les Karlin; mother, Lela Gabbard; stepson, Paul Karlin; brother, Joe Gabbard; and several other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Beard's Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville.
