John D. Roberts Jr.

John D. Roberts Jr., 85, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, in Fayetteville. Born Jan. 8, 1928, in Arvin, Calif., the son of John D. Sr. and Virginia Wallace Roberts. He served in the United States Army and retired from Northrop Grumman Company. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Roberts of the home; one son, Johnny Roberts of Buena Park, Calif.; three stepchildren, Bobbie Mosier and husband, Clifford, of Fayetteville, Linda Rector and husband, Sherman, of Connelly Springs, N.C., and Richard Ward of Fayetteville; one brother, Jack Roberts of Buena Park, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Raymond Beer, Michael Thomas, Jeffrey Thomas, Michele Smith, Travis Ward, Amy Louton and Carl Mosier. Graveside memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, with Pastor Ronnie Bradshaw officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetery.
