Vera Dunlap of Fort Smith, Our sweet mother has gone to Heaven to be with William Henry Dunlap and Jesus! Her first born son, James Henry declared: "That was one GOOD woman!" Every need her six Kids, two sons and four daughters, could have...she met in her life time. They "rise and call her blessed." Carolyn and Douglas Franklin of Mineola, Texas, Mary Ellen Dunlap of Pasadena, California, James Henry and Nancy Dunlap of De Soto, Missouri. John Edward and Sandra Dunlap of Canton, Texas, Brenda Kay and Harold Williams of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Gwendolyn Sue and John Leigh of Calgary, Canada. Fondly known as Granny, Vera was blessed to have 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 10 great great-grand-babies. One grandson, John Paul Dunlap preceded her to Heaven. Their precious Granny is more than an heirloom to be! Vera Haas Dunlap is the oldest of 15 born to George Julius and Amy Pearl Haas, Vera is survived by five sisters and one brother: Paul and Sue Haas of Jonesboro, Ark., Cathlean Roemmich and Hazel Roemmich of St Louis, Mo., Mary Lenita Birdsong, Dorothy and Ed Perdue of Jonesboro, Ark. and Julia and Junior Johnson of Bland, Mo., and many nieces and nephews. Once upon a long time ago, she who was determined to be in touch with her family, had the frightful experience of learning to use her first computer. When she was told You have to touch the 'm o u s e' she squealed... "I don't want to touch the 'm o u s e'!" Sounding like the famous TV character of Archie Bunker's wife Edith, Vera, from that moment has fondly been called Edith. Vera AKA Edith leaves a legacy of humor and wit bringing laughter and tears from years of early morning Sister's Chats and daily family email. She will always be remembered for her Faith, Love of family, and Favor to all. Expressions of love and memories may be posted on Vera's Face Book @ Vera Dunlap or mailed to 8400 Hannah Ct., Fort Smith, Ark. 72903.
