Robert O'Neil Bartlett

Robert O'Neil Bartlett of Rogers Ark., 82, passed away Nov. 11, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, with Pastor Harry Hamilton to officiate the service. He was born Oct. 24, 1931, in Memphis, Tenn., to George T. Bartlett and Frances Jesamine Board. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired landman from Getty Oil Co., later known as Texaco Oil. He was married to the former Elizabeth Ann Kennedy for over 54 years. He loved writing, playing and listening to music, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth; and brothers, George P. Bartlett and Richard T. Bartlett. He is survived by daughter, Susie Doerr and husband, Dave, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; son, Scott Bartlett and wife, Diane, of Estero, Fla.; son, Steve Bartlett and wife, Cheryl, of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Sarah Bartlett Jones and husband, Andrew, of Nacogdoches, Stephanie Bartlett Ryon and husband, Brent, of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Sam Bartlett and fiancée, Jenny Hamilton, of Nacogdoches; and one great-grandson, Weston Robert Ryon of Lake Dallas. The family would like to express gratitude to the caregivers from Home Instead and the professionals from the Circle of Life Hospice.
