Mary Babcock Fyles

Mary Babcock Fyles, 91, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at North Hills Life Care in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 11, 1922, in Rochester, N.Y., the daughter of Grant and Mary Babcock. Mary graduated from the University of Rochester Nursing program in 1945. She worked in and was passionate about public health nursing. Mary was an active member of Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship in Fayetteville. She loved to knit. Mary loved to spend time with her family and especially her grand- and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Raymond Babcock. Mary is survived by two daughters, Hollie McEwen of Fayetteville and Laurie Pingree of Fayetteville; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous friends.
