Robert Dale Shackelford

Robert Dale Shackelford, age 66, of Highfill, passed away from this life, Friday, May 24, 2013, in Highfill. Robert was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Crosses, Ark., the son of Lonnie Theodore and Nettie Drain Shackelford. Robert was a welder and a truck driver. He served in the United Army during Vietnam Nam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family. He was an active member of A.A. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elsie Counts. He is survived by two sons, Randal Shackelford and his wife, Ashlee, of Springdale and Jon Shackelford of Hot Springs; one brother, Raymond Shackelford of Wichita, Kan.; four sisters, Elizabeth Hutnick of Pinole, Calif.; Lucy Baker of Patoris, Wash., Joyce Westbrook of Springdale and Linda Brown of Springdale; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow at Brannon Mountain Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jon Shackelford, Gary Cox, Levi Baker, Jeff Ripple, Jacob Ripple and John Osbourne.
