James Frank "Jimmy" Thompson, 33, of Rogers, Ark., died May 22, 2013, in his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1979, to James and Pam (Caple) Thompson. Jimmy served in the U.S. Army and he was a Mason. He was a self-taught musician, talented guitarist and singer. He loved baseball, following the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers. Jimmy and his father enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was well-read and an admitted "homespun philosopher." He is survived by his parents; wife, Kristi Thompson; one son, Keagan Thompson; daughter, Jaeden Thompson; one stepdaughter, Chalin, two stepsons, Corbin and Kaydyn, all of Rogers; and one half-sister, Janelle Montz of Texas. A visitation will be Saturday, May 25, 2013, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers, Ark., with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America or the Brain Trauma Foundation, www.braintrama.org.
