Billy Paul Cossey

Billy Paul Cossey, 63, of Springdale, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Veterans Health System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. He was born Aug. 6, 1949, in Forrester, Ark., to Floyd and Bessie Isom Cossey. Bill served in the Air Force and enjoyed fishing, shooting, metal-detecting, playing video games and spending time on the beach in Florida. He was devoted to the care of his family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Cossey; and two infant siblings. He is survived by his wife, Irene Cossey, of the home; two children, Jaime Cossey and William Cossey, both of Springdale; two granddaughters, Tara and Tamera Brown, both of Springdale; four sisters, Ima Jean Brigance and husband, Fred, Juanita Fields and husband, Bill, Sara Shaw and husband, Roscoe and Dora May Rhyne; four brothers, Floyd Ray Cossey, Charles Cossey and wife, Marsha, Jerry Cossey and wife, Annette and Donald Cossey; and 12 nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Home.
