Joe Fred Brown

Joe Fred Brown, 59, of Springdale, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2013. Joe was born in Avoca, Ark., on Feb. 20, 1954, a son of Fred Brown and Joree Ford Brown. He married Deborah LaDean McGarrah on May 28, 1976. Joe was a minister, having pastored the Jesus Name Assembly for 35 years. Along with being a minister, Joe owned and operated the Joe Brown Insurance Agency in Springdale. He loved the Lord, his family and loved helping others. He enjoyed motorcycling with his wife Deborah, loved baseball and deer-hunting. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Brown, of the home; one son, Jeremy Brown of Lincoln, Ark.; three sisters, Carolyn Fields of Avoca, Ark., Marilyn Burks of Lowell, Ark., and Ruth Blackburn of Ojai, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel. The Rev. Charles Hancock will officiate the services with burial being held at the Frisco Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
