Betty Bernice Steigelman

Betty Bernice Steigelman, 85, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born on Nov. 6, 1927, in Meeker, Okla., to Lloyd Clarence Stearman and Rhodaeva Gladys Thompson Stearman. She had been married to Robert Donald Steigelman 64 years as of March 7, 2013. She gave 35 years of faithful service to Civil Service, retiring from Deco Finance, Scott Air Force Base in 1983. They moved to Bella Vista the following year. She was a longtime member of Bella Vista Baptist Church. She was a member of the VFW Post 9063 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Wayne, Charles, Lloyd, Leonard, Lois; and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Robert Donald Steigelman; six children, Alan, Rebecca, Peter, Donald, Catherine and Lori; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda, Joy, Wiley and Lynnes Welsh. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Bella Vista Baptist Church, with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home.
