Dora Mae Shepherd

Dora Mae Shepherd, 92, of Elkins passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born May 22, 1920, in Madison County, Ark., Health Community to Albert and Ida Barker Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers; five sisters; husbands, Winford Warford and Clive Shepherd; grandson, Monty Shepherd and stepgrandson, Rex Drummond. Survivors include two sons, Jim Thomas of Fayetteville and Rick Shepherd of Brentwood; daughter, Shirley Warford Shepherd of the Bidville Community; three stepsons, Eugene Shepherd of Winslow, Truman Shepherd of Hindsville and Jimmy Don Shepherd of Wesley; two stepdaughters, Barbara Wilson of Fayetteville and Lenora Drummond of Mountainburg; sister, Flosie Provence of Winfrey Valley; five grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; 19 stepgrandchildren; 34 stepgreat-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Biswell and Rev. Ray Shackleford officiating. Burial will be at the Bidville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 N.
