Ruth Brophy

Ruth Brophy of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 74 years. She was born May 19, 1938, to parents William and Marie Roehl in Fayetteville, Ark. Ruth graduated from Elkins High School, then went on to graduate from Fayetteville Business College. She was an accountant for many years. She married Russell J. Brophy and he passed away in 2003. Ruth is survived by a daughter, Karyn Davenport and husband, Keith, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sisters, Virginia Dmytryshyn of Keizer, Ore., and Joyce Zoschke of Garden City, Kan.; grandson, Kent Brophy Davenport of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and granddaughter, Kaylyn Brophy Davenport, also of Broken Arrow, Okla. Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville, Ark. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Moore's Chapel, with burial to follow in McCord Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark. The Rev. Don George will officiate.
