William Lee Huston

William Lee Huston, 81, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Shiloh Nursing and Rehab, surrounded by his family. William was born on Sept. 19, 1931, in Bradfordsville, Ky., a son of Robert A. Huston and Opal Reynolds Huston. He married Mary Joelene Owens on June 2, 1957, in Blackwell, Okla. William was a store manager for the C.R. Anthony's Clothing Store in Oklahoma for over 30 years. He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Harrison, Ark., a former member of the Kiwanis International, enjoyed singing in the church choir, listening to gospel music, playing golf and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife, Joelene of the home; mother-in-law, Aliene Owens of Springdale; two daughters, Sondra Terrell and husband, Wayne, of Harrison, Ark., and Cindy Patton and husband, Bryan, of Decatur, Ark.; a sister, Doris A. Wood and husband, Dwaine, of Ponca City, Okla.; and grandchildren, Brad and Sean Patton, and Drew and Kelsey Terrell. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert E. Huston. Memorial service will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 4 p.m., with Brother John Darnall to officiate the service.
