Joan D. Chism

Joan D. Chism, 60, of Bentonville passed away March 18, 2013, in Bentonville. She was born Oct. 19, 1952, in Bentonville, the daughter of Elmer and Mabel Lawson Scott. She was a former nurse for the Pea Ridge Medical Clinic and a homemaker. Joan was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bentonville and graduated from Bentonville High School in 1971. Joan was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandma. She is preceded in death by her father; and her sister, Carolyn Mulanax. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Chism of the home; they were married Sept. 3, 1971; children, Lisa Brewer and husband, Michael Brewer, and Brandi Roland and husband, Jerry Roland Jr.; her mother, Mabel Scott; her brother, Jake Scott; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Connor, Hayden and Parker, all of Bentonville. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Bethel Baptist Church in Bentonville, with Pastor Mike McEuen officiating. Interment will follow in the Bentonville Cemetery.
