David Bruce Copeland

David Bruce Copeland, 82, of West Fork, Ark., died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1930, in Zinnamon Community, Washington County, the son of Lizzie Ford and Joe Hazy Copeland. He loved spending quality time with his family and time outdoors. He lived in the Northwest Arkansas area his entire life. He was a member of the West Fork Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He also was a volunteer firefighter with the Strickler Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Foster Copeland; and one sister, Leota Copeland. Bruce is survived by his wife, Marilyn Kato Copeland; two sons, David Wayne Copeland and Michael Copeland; two daughters, Dena Lamb and Lisa Copeland; two brothers, Joe Copeland Jr., and Jack Copeland; four sisters, Ouida Sloas, Mary Findlay, Ruth Derry and Neva Joy Biggs; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in West Fork. Graveside to follow at Zinnamon Cemetery. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
