Ruby Oleta Potter

Ruby Oleta Potter, 88, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died March 10, 2013, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. Born Jan. 2, 1925, in Durham, Ark., she was the daughter of James Walter Allison and Ethel Robbins Allison. She was a homemaker and worked at Simmons Industries, Siloam Springs. She married James "Pete" Potter on Nov. 15, 1944. Ruby was a member of Eastgate Church of Christ, Siloam Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Don and Dean; and one sister, Helen. Survivors include two sons, James E. Potter and wife, Susie, of Houston, Texas, and Bruce E. Potter and wife, Carol, of Gentry, Ark.; three daughters, Linda Hillman and husband, James, of Olney, Md., Nancy Lopshire and husband, Brad, of Rogers, Ark., and Janice Connelly and husband, Steve, of Ponca City, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Allison of Siloam Springs; one sister, Velma Bartholomew of Sandridge, Idaho. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Eastgate Church of Christ, Siloam Springs, with Bruce Potter and Larry Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Eastgate Church of Christ prior to the service.
