Roy Farrell Ward

Roy Farrell Ward, 63, of Gentry, Ark., went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 7, 2013. Born Oct. 10, 1949, in Springfield, Mo., he was the second son of Chester Keith Ward and Ermadene Currence Ward Cox. Roy was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for SWEPCO. He was a Navy veteran where he served as a jet mechanic. He was also a member of the Springdale Masonic Lodge, an honorary member of the Gentry Masonic Lodge and member of the Shriners. He was a member of the Elmdale Baptist Church, Springdale, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Keith Ward; brother-in-law, Bert Rakes; and honorary daughter, Bridgette Millsap. Survivors include his mother, Ermadene Cox of Fayetteville, Ark.; two brothers, Don Ward and wife, Teri, of Charlotte, N.C., and Dan Ward of Springdale, Ark.; sister, Deanna M. Rakes of Fayetteville, Ark.; niece, Dawn Marie Graber and husband, Scott, of Springdale, Ark.; nephew, Grant Ward of Charlotte, N.C.; great nephew, Jacob Tamayo of Little Rock, Ark.; extended family, Wally Millsap and wife, Kay, of Gentry, Ark., their twins, Courtney and Austin Millsap, of Gentry, Ark., Heidi and Jonathan Nance and boys, Matthew and Houston, of Gentry, Ark. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Gentry, Ark., with Paul Jeffus and Dr. Robin Cowan officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery, Elm Springs, Ark. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
