Lucile Jones

Lucile Jones, 89, died June 27, 2013, at Legacy Village in Bentonville. She was born on Feb. 10, 1924, in Gravette, Ark., to the late George R. and Rosa (Carden) Wise. She was the loving wife of the late Byren Jones. She was an active charter member of Temple Baptist Church, a member of Gideons Auxiliary, a tireless volunteer at the Samaritan Center. Her passion was cooking and caring for others. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (David) Swearingen of Rogers, Linda (Terry) Chrisope of St. Louis, Mo., Cindy (Charles) Wilson of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Kelly (John) Pearce, Rachel (Alan) Harris, Rebecca (Michael) Hazlewood, Scott (Susannah) Swearingen, Sarah (Brian) Anderson, all of Rogers, Catherine (Chad) Hampsch of Branson, Mo., and Coby (Sarah) Wilson of Mount Vernon, Wash.; and 11 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. in Rollins Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, July 1, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1812 S. Dixieland Road, Rogers.
