John Walter McCain, 74, of Sonora died June 25, 2013, in Sonora. He was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Drumright, Okla., to J.W. and Christine Clark McCain. He was a member of the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ and a retired insurance agent. He operated a State Farm agency in Lakewood, Colo., for 20 years. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and loved to travel. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Savanna Cloer McCain; three sons, Bill McCain and wife, Tammy, of Springdale, Robert McCain and wife, Shelley, of Lowell, and Rick McCain and wife, Eve, of Andover, Minn.; one brother, Don McCain and wife, Jan, of Durango, Colo.; and his nine grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Zachary, Hailey, Taylor, Lucas, Chloe, Jacob, Macey; and many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ, with Gene Cloer and Eddie Cloer officiating. Burial will follow at Sonora Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Pallbearers are Joshua McCain, Zachary McCain, Lester Wilkinson, Lane Bolain, Bryan Shafer, Bobby Cloer, Gerald Fulkerson and Bill Penick. Honorary pallbearers are Lucas McCain, Jacob McCain, Kent Dobbs, Harry Ware, Richard Keen, Anthony Gadberry, Deryle Oxford, Nick Poulos, Greg Hughes, Rodney Pless, Matt Venable, Joe Mohorn and Kevin Mayhew.
