Robert A. Byers

Paul A. "Pavel" Byers, age 55, of Fayetteville died Friday, June 21, 2013. He was born Dec. 11, 1957, in San Diego, Calif., to Alan Joseph Byers and Carol Collins Byers. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, served as a tanker in the U.S. Army and was very active in the Society for Creative Anachronism. He worked 29 years as a computer technician at the University of Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Natalia Karnes; his daughter, Alex Byers of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Mike Byers and his wife, Lisa, of Morrilton, Ark.; sister, Helen Tash and her husband, Randy, of Hot Springs, Ark.; two nephews, Joe Byers and Caleb Byers, their families; and many, many friends. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
