Jane A. Graaf

Jane A. Graaf of Rogers, Ark., passed away on June 20, 2013. We will remember her as our loving wife, mother, leader and friend. Jane lived her life with a confidence and sense of purpose for which we all strive. We will remember Jane as a wonderful representation of God's love in all parts of her community. She held us all to a high level of expectations, while simultaneously exemplifying an infinite capacity for forgiveness. Jane Graaf enjoyed an amazing life in her 71 years with her family and friends. She began her life on May 14, 1942, in Pocahontas, Iowa, the daughter of Betty and Warren Clark. She was raised by her maternal grandmother, Bessie M. Clark, in Pocahontas, and she graduated from Pocahontas High School and Omaha School of Business. Jane then met Eldon Graaf and they were married on June 6, 1963. They continued to live in Pocahontas and raised their children and built a successful business in the area. Jane was active in WELCA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other endeavors in and around the community. In 1985, they brought their lives to Rogers, Ark. She began a career at Walmart Corporate Offices for 25 years and retired as a senior manager in their benefits division. Again, Jane was active in church and community. Jane is survived by her husband, Eldon Graaf of Rogers, Ark.; their children, Jerry Graaf and his wife, Jennifer, of Omaha, Neb., their son, Jesse Graaf, and daughter, Crystal Huynhcoa, and their daughters, Madison and McKensie, Janell Williams and her husband, Will, of Hot Springs, Ark., their daughter, Logan, and son, Liam, John Graaf and his wife, Genevieve, of Oakland, Calif., their daughter, Grace, and sons, Henry and Clark. Jane is also survived by her aunts, Beverly Mell of Pocahontas, Iowa, Lucille Johnson of Milford, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service for Jane Graaf will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Living Word Church in the McAuley dining room at the Center for Nonprofits, 1200 W. Walnut in Rogers, Ark. Memorials can be sent to Living Word Church, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
