Frederick Loyd 'Fred' Traylor

Frederick Loyd "Fred" Traylor, 63, of Bentonville, Ark., died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Circle of Life in Bentonville. He was born Dec. 14, 1949, in Shreveport, La., to Horace Tarpley Traylor and Ruth Joyce Johnston Traylor. He served his country at Lackland AFB, Texas, and then joined his father's business in 1975, selling products to a number of retailers and calling on Walmart and Sam's Club for many years. He became an entrepreneur and grew this father-son business into several companies that at one time employed over 70 people. He was a creative man in so many ways and he established bonds with all those he met along the way, both professionally and personally. He was preceded in death by his parents. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Beadles Traylor; son, Shawn and his wife, Anastasia; grandson, Ian; son, Adam; daughter, Catherine and her husband, Sean Parks; and sister, Vida Yancy. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Kings Highway Christian Church in Shreveport, La., with the Rev. Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be in the parlor from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorials may be made in honor of Fred Traylor to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at Pancan.org or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at [email protected].
