Charles Hansel Hodges Jr., 70, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, in Dallas, Texas. He was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Charles Hansel Hodges Sr. and Shirley Jean (Smith) Hodges. He was a right-of-way manager and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Booneville, Ark. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of the Arkansas Alumni Association. He was an avid Razorback fan. He is preceded in death by parents, Charles H. and Jean Smock; brothers, Jimmy Dale Hodges and Claude Dennis Hodges; sister, Deborah Jean Hodges. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2013, at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville, Ark., with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, Ark., under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Joannie, of the home; two daughters, Traci Chavez and husband, Michael, of Bastrop, Texas, and Kim Parris and husband, Lee, of Cabot, Ark.; one son, Charles Hansel Hodges III of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Diane Cottingham of Jonesboro, Ark.; one brother, David Lee Hodges of Vidor, Texas; grandchildren, Travis, Ashley, Greg, Laura, Chrystal and Cherryl; one great-grandchild, Eli. Pallbearers will be Phil Mikles, Buck Mikles, Brian Bone, Wendell Pyles, Gary Shaw and Jerry Jeffries. Pawbearers: Jack, Roxy and Bodie. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Parris, Greg Parris, Drake Widener, Michael Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Travis Chavez, Phil Hackler.
