William "Rusty" Burke III, age 59, of Bentonville died June 17, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on Jan. 1, 1954, to William Burke Jr. and Erma (Bessman) Burke. Rusty was a civil engineer and later drove for J.B. Hunt. He was dedicated to his church and spent two years doing missionary work in England. Rusty was known for his meticulous attention to detail, his love of children and wild birds, and his dedication to both his family and the genealogical research of his ancestors. He is survived by his mother, Erma Burke of Bentonville; siblings, Wilodene Burke of Vernal, Utah, Wanita Burke-Mathews of Amana, Iowa, Linda Burke of Arizona, Steven Burke of Howell, Mich., Karen Buhr of Waterloo, Iowa, Wayne Burke of Lexington Park, Md., John Burke of Chesterfield, Mich.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bentonville. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
