Richard Charles Stanfill

Richard Charles Stanfill, 61, of Fort Smith, Ark., passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013, in Fort Smith. He was a self-employed Lease & Right of Way agent, member of the Elks Lodge and Temple Baptist Church. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Ark. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. He is survived by his mother, Alverne Stanfill of Fort Smith; one brother, Greg Stanfill and wife, Annette, of Springdale; one niece, Jessica Clarke and husband, Adam, of Springdale; and one nephew, Josh Stanfill and wife, Abby, of Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his father, M.F. "Bud" Stanfill; and one great-niece, Harper Clarke. Pallbearers will be Wayne Gosnell, Byron Ware, Charlie Miller, Sam Miller, Larry Miller, Gary Miller, Terry Walters, Timmy Walters, Casey Cochran, Brent Goodwin, Asa Douglas and Sheridan Douglas.
