Richard Lewis Yates

Richard Lewis Yates, 39, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Feb. 24, 1974, in Rogers, Ark., the son of Sandy Sullivan and Danny Yates. He enjoyed time with horses and animals of any kind. He was a lifetime resident of the Northwest Arkansas area. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Katie Kathryn Watson Yates; his maternal grandparents, Lewis Dale Sullivan and Ruth Virginia Sullivan. Richard is survived by his wife, Ruby Yates of Bella Vista; his parents, Danny and Sandy of Bella Vista; one son, Richard Alexander Yates of Fayetteville; one daughter, Ashley Lynn Yates of Prairie Grove; one stepdaughter, Arianna Noel Allen of Fayetteville; one brother, Christopher Daniel Yates and his wife, Kelly, of Bethany, Okla.; two nieces, Brianna Leigh Yates and Skyler Renae Yates; multiple cousins and many extended family members. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Family Church of the Nazarene in Bella Vista, with the Rev. Kelly Yates and the Rev. Anthony Baker officiating.
