Curtis Carson Glenn Sr.

Curtis Carson Glenn, Jr., 69, of Asher, Ark., died June 3, 2013 at his home. He was born Sept. 15, 1943, at Prairie Grove, Ark., the son of Curtis Carson Glenn Sr. and Alta Euthema Tackett Glenn. He was a 1961 graduate of Saint Paul High School, a carpenter, a dairy and beef cattle farmer and founded Glenn's Bulldozing in 1985. He was a Justice of the Peace of the Madison County Quorum Court for more than 10 years, a member of the Madison County N.R.C.S. Board for more than 20 years and served on the Madison County Election Commission for more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Phillip Glenn; and one sister, Katherine Baker. Survivors include his wife, Julia Ann "Judy" Glenn of the home, whom he married Sept. 11, 1964; two sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis Duane Glenn Sr., and Sarah Glenn and Charles Devin and Janet Glenn, all of Asher, Ark.; his mother-in-law, Dewey Keeter of Farmington, Ark.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gary Glenn, Steven and Patsy Glenn, Michael and Lila Glenn, all of Patrick, Ark.; three sisters; and two brother-in-law, Donna and Bill Hawkins of Patrick, Ark., Martha and J.C. Eaton of Boston, Ark., and Nelda Kay Wolfe of Elkins, Ark.; and four grandchildren, Hailey Shea Glenn, Curtis Duane Glenn Jr., Jessica Dawn Fields and Case Wheeler Glenn, all of Asher, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m Saturday, June 8, at the Saint Paul School Gymnasium with Ministers Bobby Dockery and Joe Harriman officiating and Dennis Donahou, eulogist. Interment will be in the Patrick Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net. Pallbearers will be Darrin Vanlandingham, Charles Glenn, Weston Glenn, Bubba Butler, Faron Ledbetter and Bily Melson. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Vanlandingham, Bobby Waggoner, J.C. Selph, Vernon Whittmore, Clarence Carson, Carmon Carson, Ron Cooper, Kenny Thompson and the Madison County officials and employees. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
