Barbara White

Barbara White, 80, of Elkins, Ark., died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at her home. She was born March 20, 1933, in Tontitown, Ark., the daughter of Helen Elizabeth Morsani and Earl Horace Williams. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father and one sister, Jean Williams Price. She is survived by her husband, Leland White of Elkins; two sisters, Hazel Williams of Farmington and Nell Lance of Fayetteville; one brother, Earl Wayne Williams of Johnson; two sons, H.L."Butch" Pond and his wife, Brenda, Victor Lance White and his wife, Kari; one daughter, Becky Daniels and husband, Michael "Wally"; three grandchildren, Ashley Lloyd Pond, Kela Henderson and Michelle Lynn Pond; five step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Barbara worked at Southwestern Bell as an operator, was co-owner and operator with her husband of McGuire House Bed and Breakfast and was a realtor. Most of her life was spent on the farm with her husband and family. She was an accomplished artist and published writer. Wonderful wife, mother, sister, neighbor and friend to many. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. Family visitation will be held immediately after the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be sent to Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church or Mount Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville.
