Glenn R. Willey

Glenn R. Willey, 70, of Rogers died July 27, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born on Nov. 5, 1942, to Lyle and Geraldine Willey in Albany, Calif. He was the loving husband of Sally (Ginns) Willey. Glenn graduated from Cal-State Fullerton earning a degree in engineering. Glenn's career was spent in the aerospace industry, with both manufactures and suppliers. He retired from Lockheed-Martin in 2010. He was an avid hiker, fisherman and boater. He was an accomplished "do-it-yourselfer" around the house. There was nothing he wouldn't tackle. He was an active member of the Rogers First Church of the Nazarene and participated in its Extended Hands of Care Program. Glenn derived his greatest pleasure from his family and friends. He knew no strangers. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Willey; stepfather, John Rodfong; and son, Troy Willey. He is survived by his loving wife, Sally of Rogers; mother, Geraldine Rodfong of West Palm Beach, Fla.; son, Erik Willey of Pomona, Calif.; half-sister, Gerianne McWhorter of Lake Worth, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephew. A funeral will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Rogers First Church of the Nazarene, 4911 W. Pleasant Grove Road; burial will follow at Bentonville City Cemetery.
