Roy Melvin Bond, age 72, a resident of Farmington went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at his home. He was born March 2, 1941, in Prairie Grove, the son of William Thompson and Lydia Florence Pannell Bond. Roy retired from the University of Arkansas Physical Plant after 38 years of service. He was a church deacon for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Joe, Troy, Willie and Jasper Bond; and three sisters, Katy Bond, Euel Earl Messimer and Francis Cody. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Bond; one son, Richard Bond and wife, Amy of Farmington; one daughter, Robin Duffy and husband, Steve of Farmington; one brother, John Bond of Farmington; one sister, Eula Elmore of Alabama; and five grandchildren, Colton and Bryson Duffy and Kynleigh, Bayleigh and Berkleigh Bond. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Farmington Baptist Church in Farmington, with burial in Farmington Cemetery. Online guest book, www.luginbuel.com.
