Virginia Lee Chandler

Virginia Lee Chandler, 84, of Goshen passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at her home. She was born on Dec. 22, 1928, in Brawley, Calif., to Vernie and Alice Gragg. She was a longtime faithful member of the first Southern Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Waymon Chandler; son, Ernie Chandler; and granddaughter, Christina Reed. Survivors include her son, John Chandler of Goshen; daughter, Barbara Meares of Goshen; brother, Lonnie Gragg of Lincoln; sister, June Evans of Farmington; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at the first Southern Baptist Church in Goshen, 716 E Bowen Blvd. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Randall Galloway officiating. Private burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens are under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
