Jimmie M. (Gulley) Philpott

Jimmie M. (Gulley) Philpott, age 78 of Rogers, Ark., and formerly of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, at her home in Rogers with her family by her side. Jimmie was born in Muleshoe, Texas, on March 28, 1935, to EJ and Lela (Nelson) Gulley. On Feb. 13, 1954, Jimmie married W.A. "Bill" Philpott and they were married for over 37 years before his death in Alaska. She was a member of the Rogers First Baptist Church and was a member of the Friends of the Library. Jimmie enjoyed gardening, pottery, reading, movies, writing, traveling, going out with friends and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her husband, W.A. "Bill" Philpott in 1991; her parents; one son, William Kim Philpott in 2010; three brothers; Benny, LC, and Bobby Gulley; and one sister, Mary Smith; Jimmie is survived by one son, Kirby Philpott and wife, Jackie, of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Kerinda Johnson and husband, Dave, of Fairbanks, Alaska; Kelly Thesing and husband, Rick, of Brownsville, Minn.; three sisters, Alice Jefferson of Bentonville, Ark.; Lynette Taylor and husband, Marvin, of Guymon, Okla.; Betty Renner of Lubbock, Texas; 15 grandchildren, John Spradlin, Jennifer Boyd, Rachelle Johnson, and Aaron Johnson; Brandon Philpott and Amy Glass; Adam Greenlee, Andy Greenlee, Abby Greenlee, Wayne Thesing, and Eric Thesing; Cassi Maloney, Megan Philpott, Heather Philpott, and Amanda Martek; 17 great-grandchildren, Johnny and Kelsey Spradlin; Blake, Emma, and Trevor Boyd; Ryder Maloney; Jaxton Glass; Josephine Greenlee; Jared, Sarah, Evie, Collin and Sean Thesing; Noah, Brody, Kian, and Aubrilynn Thesing; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Visitation for Jimmie will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home (3800 West Walnut) in Rogers, Ark., with funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Benton County Memorial Park's Funeral Home Chapel (3800 West Walnut) in Rogers, Ark.
