Gary William Evans, 60, of Clarksville, formerly of Springdale, died Jan. 27, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born July 12, 1952, in Fayetteville to James and Edna Evans. He owned and operated Heinie's Steak House and the Fireside Inn in Springdale. Gary also worked for Arvest Bank, Nelms Automotive and Steve Smith Country. He was baptized at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ, and later ministered at the Samaritan House in Rogers and Springdale as well as Hilltop Bible Church in Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Evans in 2009. He is survived by his daughter, Kimber Jungles and husband, Jay, of Bentonville; his mother, Edna Evans of Springdale; three sisters, Sandra Jacobs of Clarksville, Deniese Evans of North Little Rock and Beverly Cobb of Manhattan, Kan.; one brother, James Evans Jr. of Springdale; and his beautiful granddaughter, Kayla Jungles. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale; burial will follow at Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Washington County Memorial Program 1200 W.
