Marvin D. Suggs

Marvin D. Suggs, age 78, of Rogers passed away Jan. 17, 2013. He was born March 11, 1934, in Alleene, Ark., to parents Robert Jessie Suggs and Anna Mae Brail Suggs. Marvin was longtime resident of Northwest Arkansas and a member of the Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed the outdoors as well as fishing and yard-work. Marvin was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Barbara Plunk in 2007; as well as his parents; and five brothers. He is survived by his sisters, Lois Dutton, Sarah Irons, Maudean Williams and Shirley Utter; nephews, Billy Craig and wife, Ronda, of Rogers, Jerry Ward of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Robby Joe Batherton and wife, Samantha, and their son, Robby Batherton Jr.; niece, Belva Stepp of Seligman, Mo.; stepdaughter, Joyce Brown; step-granddaughter, Barbara Black; grandson, Ricky Brown and wife, Sandy; best friend, Jim Wigmore; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside inurnment services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Tucks Chapel Cemetery in Little Flock, Ark. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers, 3800 W. Walnut.
