Mary Catherine Lacy

Mary Catherine Mounce Lacy Mary Catherine Mounce Lacy, age 71, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Earlene Howard Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. She was born April 22, 1941, in Delaney, Ark., the daughter of Ruben and Jessie VanBrunt Mounce. She was employed at the University of Arkansas for 38 years and after retirement she was a full time homemaker. She was a member of Hickory Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded by her parents, two brothers, one son and one grandson. Mrs. Lacy is survived by her husband, Jim Lacy, of the home; one son, Kyle Lacy of Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Teara Lacy of Kansas City, Mo., and Robyn Walters of Prairie Grove, Ark.; two brothers, Jimmy Mounce of Hindsville, Ark., and Gary Mounce of Johnson, Ark.; two sisters, Jo McConnell of Fayetteville, Ark., and Linda Hattabaugh of Wheeler, Ark.; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Hickory Creek Baptist Church. Memorials in memory of Mary Lacy may be made to Hickory Creek Baptist Church, 13244 Hickory Creek Road, Lowell, Arkansas 72745 or Circle of Life Hospice House, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
