Emma Berkowitch

Emma Berkowitch, 95, of Bentonville died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Bradford House in Bentonville. She was born May 5, 1917, in Holyoke, Mass., to Anthony and Madeline Fabbrini DiCarlo. She was a faithful and active Jehovah's Witness for 78 years and it gave her great joy to share her faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her parents; three brothers, Alexander, Albert and Joseph DiCarlo; one sister, Elsie Kane. Emma is survived by two sisters, Lydia Hack of Bella Vista, Ark., and Antoinette Ward of Lucerne Valley, Calif.; 10 nephews, Allen and Ted DiCarlo, James and Edward Kane, Albert DiCarlo Jr., Thom Hans, Joseph and Jeffery DiCarlo, David and Daniel Hack; four nieces, Susan Hernandez, Sandra and Donna DiCarlo and Gianna Rzeczycki; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2501 S.W. 14th St., Bentonville, AR 72712, with Sean Mandras officiating.
