Rose L. Turke

Rose L. Turke passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2013, at the age of 102 years. She thoroughly enjoyed her last 15 years among her many friends at the Bella Vista Lutheran Church and the Concordia Retirement community. Rose was born on May 19, 1910, in Racine, Wis., to Thomas Laszlo and Maria Resko. The life story of our "Amazing Rose" spanned 102 years, from her early life in Hungary and throughout her adult life in America. She was a devoted and generous mother to her children, grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, from the families of her son, George and Barbara Hart of Bella Vista, and from the families of her stepson, Eugene Turke of Plantation, Fla. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Bella Vista Lutheran Church, with Pastor Paul Hass officiating.
