Arlene C. Myers

Arlene C. Myers, 91, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at her home in Bella Vista. She was born on Sept. 3, 1921, in Wayne County, Neb., to Reinhard Gehrke and Lydia Hinnerichs Gehrke. She retired in September 1982 after 37 years with Firstier Bank of Omaha. She moved to Bella Vista on June 1, 1989, from Fremont, Neb. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista. She was active in the church, and loved traveling and kept busy creating retirement projects. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harlan and Milton; and sister, Marian. She is survived by her husband, Frank V. Myers of Bella Vista; brother-in-law, Ray Tillwick of Omaha, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Becky Gehrke of Cheyenne, Wyo., Dorothy Zeplin and husband, Lowell, of Omaha, Neb.; nieces, Lynn Ann Allard and husband, Herb, of Gilbert, Ariz., Cindy Carpenter and husband, Steve, of Greenville, N.C., Diana Bliming of Omaha, Neb., Sandra Stagner and husband, John, of Omaha, Neb., Ruth Ecker and husband, Tom, of Omaha, Neb., Joyce Hughes of Leesburg, Fla., Janice Hofler of Smyma, Ga.; nephew, Mark Tillwick and wife, Sandy, of Omaha, Neb.; and many cousins in Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and New Mexico. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista. Inurnment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Omaha, Neb. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
