Nina Mae Haney, 86, of Rogers, Ark., passed away at Ashley Rehab in Rogers on Dec. 29, 2012. She was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Bangs, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy McGaughey and Johnnie Womack McGaughey; sister, Ola Faye Bowling; son, Roy Don Qualls; and husband, Gene Dempsey Haney. She lived in Odessa, Texas, prior to moving to Northwest Arkansas. She raised a family and made a career of cake decorating as well as her many hobbies of sewing, needlepoint and various crafts. She was an instructor for cake decorating classes, both at Odessa College and for community education in Bentonville. Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville, Ark. Funeral service will follow immediately at 6:30 p.m., with the Rev. Rex Dickey officiating. She is survived by her son, Johnny (Beth) Haney of Bentonville, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Rory Qualls of Garland, Texas; and five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
