Dustin Allen, 30, passed away at his home in Marshfield, Wis., on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013. He was born Feb. 20, 1982, in Clinton, Okla. He is survived by his wife, Tabetha Allen; son, Shelby Shawn Michael Allen, 6, and daughter, Shyla Christine Joanne Allen, 3; three brothers, Shawn Allen and wife, Kerie, Christopher Allen and Matthew Allen, all of Fayetteville; and parents, Randy Allen of Rogers and Chris Allen of Fayetteville. Although Dustin battled personal demons most of his life, he was always there for a friend in need. He loved his children more than anything — they were his pride and joy. He was also very proud of his brothers, all of whom are employed by the City of Fayetteville. Dustin was known for his sense of humor and could get a rise from just about anyone with his strong political views. Although he grew up in Fayetteville, he moved to Marshfield last year to be near his children, who adored his fun-loving ways. He and Shelby often played video games together, while Dustin was in the process of honoring his daughter's request to help her "look like a princess" by practicing fixing her hair. When he mastered her pigtails, he was very proud. Although he never was formally trained, Dustin was a natural with electronics, possessing an uncanny ability to perform tasks ranging from repairing car stereo systems to rebuilding computers. Arrangements are being handled in Wisconsin and will be announced at a later date.
